The House Appropriations Committee has named a new bipartisan task force for the late Chuck Colson, a champion of prison reform and the founder of Prison Fellowship, Justice Fellowship, and Colson Center for Christian Worldview. The Charles Colson Task Force on Federal Corrections will work to increase public safety, improve offender accountability, reduce recidivism, address victim’s services, and control costs.

Incarcerated for his role in Watergate, Colson vowed to never forget the prisoners who remained behind after his release and mobilized the Church to bring “the transforming love of Christ” to prisoners throughout the United States and overseas.
