On Friday last week, Right on Crime senior policy analyst Derek Cohen joined guest host Rebecca Maxwell on “The Steve Deace Show” to discuss conservative criminal justice reform. Topics included highlighting the differences found between the Right on Crime initiative and other justice reform groups, demonstrating the role that restitution plays to make victims whole, and some of the shortfalls of mandatory minimum sentencing. Cohen also pointed out the potential for criminal justice reform to become a major policy issue in the 2016 election.
