White House event: Second Chance Hiring

| June 17, 2019

Right on Crime’s National Director of Reentry Initiatives, John Koufos, spoke with President Donald Trump on June 13 regarding second chance hiring. President Donald Trump has continued to advocate for second chance hiring and states that “Second chance hiring is about safer communities, a stronger workforce, and a thriving economy. we believe in the dignity of work and the pride of a paycheck.” Koufos stated that “Nobody in prison asked me for money, they asked me for a job. Everyone wanted a job to avoid crime, to reunify with their families, and to pay child support, and I never forgot that.” Right on Crime commends President Donald Trump for his action in reforming the criminal justice system, and applauds his pursuit of justice.
