There has never been a better time to make Mississippi Reentry Ready. Even as businesses around the nation are closing due to workforce shortages and often fail to retain the people they hire, there are millions of Americans with criminal records that struggle to find stable employment upon reentry.

In Mississippi at least 30% of those who are released from prison commit new offenses within three years of release, and 77% reoffend within five years of release. These recidivism rates cost taxpayers millions of dollars, and take a large toll on Mississippi families and economy.

There is much to be done to help resolve these challenges and Right on Crime is dedicated to emphasizing the importance of second chances and public safety. It is critical to connect public programs, resources, and agencies with Mississippi’s businesses to bridge the gaps to create opportunities for dependable and engaged employees.

Please RSVP for a complimentary lunch to discuss the value of second chances in restoring Mississippi’s criminal justice system, and the important role of the business community in public safety.
