(Baton Rouge, LA) – Right On Crime, a national criminal justice campaign of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, proudly announces Dwight Hudson as the organization’s new Louisiana Director. With a deep-rooted commitment to public service and data-driven policy, Hudson brings an experienced and principled voice to advocate for conservative criminal justice solutions in the Pelican State.
Hudson, currently serving his third term as Metro Councilman for District 9 in East Baton Rouge Parish, has been a long-time advocate for conservative solutions that protect public safety while reducing recidivism.
“Dwight’s leadership and dedication to conservative values make him the ideal choice to lead our efforts in Louisiana,” said Brett Tolman, former U.S. Attorney and Executive Director of Right On Crime. “Right On Crime has a proven track record of championing data-driven reforms that reduce prison populations, lower crime rates, and make communities safer — and we’re excited for Dwight to help carry that legacy forward in Louisiana.”

Hudson lives in East Baton Rouge Parish with his wife, Stacy, and their two daughters. Hudson will build on his commitment to family by working with criminal justice leaders to make Louisiana a safer place for all.
