Austin, TX – Right On Crime, a national campaign of the Texas Public Policy Foundation, announced its policy agenda for the 90th Texas Legislature, focused on strengthening public safety, increasing accountability, and restoring trust in the justice system.
“A justice system worthy of the public’s trust must be grounded in accountability, transparency, and an unwavering commitment to public safety,” said Brett Tolman, Executive Director of Right On Crime and former U.S. Attorney. “Texans expect a system that protects communities while upholding the rule of law with integrity. Our agenda reflects those core principles and reinforces the standards that ensure justice is administered fairly and responsibly.”
“These solutions focus on ensuring the justice system works the way it was intended,” said Nikki Pressley, Deputy Director of Right On Crime. “When grand juries have the full picture, when regulatory oversight is clear, and when public officials are held accountable to their oath, the result is a justice system that is more transparent, more efficient, and better equipped to deliver real public safety.”
